Africa: See You, See Me shows the history of African photography and draws attention to the ways in which Africans represent themselves. It tells stories of migrant identities in cities, document social events, and produce symbolic and material interpretations of society and history. Some of the photographs also draw attention to the medium—its color, exposures, framing and composition, as well as the conventions for manipulating light, to re-tell the stories of Africa and Africans.
