PhD in Modern and Contemporary History from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (2013), post-doctoral researcher at the Centro de Estudos Comparatistas of University of Lisbon, where he is developing the project entitled Post Colonial Reconfigurations. History, Nation and Popular Culture. He is the author of Fado Tropical. Luso-tropicalism in mass culture (1960-1974) (2nd edition), Lisbon: Tigre de Papel, 2020 and co-author of Gilberto Freyre: new readings, across the Atlantic, Edusp, 2015.
