Andrew Nunes
(b. 1986). British-born to Portuguese parents who left Portugal in the early 1970s, Andrew Nunes holds degrees from the University of London: a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Research in Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American Studies from Birkbeck College, and a Doctorate in Portuguese Studies from King’s College. His research draws on a range of interdisciplinary fields, including cultural studies, memory studies, and postcolonial studies, with a particular interest in examining Portuguese authoritarian and colonial legacies in contemporary discourses, places, and spaces.
