Zimbabwen. Shumirai Nyota holds a PhD in African Languages from the University of South Africa and her thesis is on the form and communicative impact of Shona advertisements. She is senior lecturer in Linguistics at Great Zimbabwe University in Zimbabwe. Currently she is a DAAD guest Lecturer at Humboldt University.
