Sandro Mezzadra

Sandro Mezzadra works as a professor of Political Theory at the Bologna University  where he teaches postcolonial studies and contemporary political theory. His research work has focused on the history of political ideas and on political theory. In recent years, his work has been mainly centred on the relation between globalization, migration and citizenship. He was involved on the struggle for migrants’s rights, namely on the first day of action against the G-8 meeting in Génova (Italy) on 2001, dedicated to migration issues, as well as in the organization of the italian social foruns. He has published, among others, with Brett Neilson, Border as method, or, the multiplication of labor, Duke University Press, 2013; Diritto di fuga.
