O Porto/Post/Doc is an association created on March 26, 2014 in the city of porto and brings together people from various professions, qualifications and ages, united in a passion for cinema. Not satisfied with the closure of movie theatres, they met with the aim of boosting cinema in the city, on three levels: bring the public back to theatres, stimulate new production and create a new international film festival, with particular focus on the area of documentary.
For that, Porto/Post/Doc has, in its genesis, two distinct programmatic contents but with the sole purpose of promoting contemporary documentary cinema:

- There are Films Downtown!;

- Porto/Post/Doc Film & Media Festival.
