Holly Williams

Williams was hired by CBS in October 2012. She had previously worked for BBC NewsCNN, and Sky News. She spent 12 years as a correspondent in China, and learned the Chinese language. She also studied the Turkish language, when she was a correspondent in Turkey. Williams and colleague Andrew Portch received a 2012 Polk Award for coverage of Chen Guangcheng, a Chinese human rights activist. On 21 August 2015, the New York Times included Williams in an article about leading female war correspondents.
