Alix-Rose Cowie

Writer, editor and photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa. Has written about creative people for CNN Style, Dazed Digital, Hunger, Sight Unseen and WeTransfer’s WePresent, among others. As an editor she has experience growing an award-winning publishing platform and editorial team. Previously editor of Casimir, an online magazine rooted in Africa sharing original video, written and photographic content from around the world. Before this Cowie was editor-in-chief of Between 10and5, the largest online showcase of South African creative work and youth culture. More recently she edited the independent food x culture quarterly Chips!. Degree in Visual Communication specialising in Art Direction. Cowie has conceptualised and worked on branded content campaigns for Nokia, Onitsuka Tiger, Ford, Nando’s, vitaminwater, Mercedes-Benz, adidas, DKNY and Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Has curated Between 10and5’s sold out 2015 Creative Women conference. In 2014 she was selected as one of Mail and Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans.
