José António Fernandes Dias
Anthropologist, curator, programmer and professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts/University of Lisbon (FBAUL). ArtAfrica site creator, Fernandes Dias was also coordinator of the master’s degree in Curatorial Studies from FBAUL and Gulbenkian Foundation and is Director of the AFRICA.CONT project (Municipality of Lisbon). Author of numerous articles published in books, magazines and catalogues, in Portugal and abroad, about anthropology and museology, art theory and post-colonial studies, he also excelled in curating numerous exhibitions.
