Emidio Josine

Born in 1982, Mozambique.

In 2004 after having completed the National School of Visual Arts in Maputo Mozambique, with the theme of defense “KuxaKanema - Birth of Mozambican Cinema”.
 2007 began to study photography at the Center for Photographic Education in Maputo, the following year won the national contest of photography sponsored by the Mozambican Association of Photography.

In 2009/10, Josine, worked as a newspaper photographer in the Zambezi and markets this last which is a founding member, as well as several partnerships with artists, choreographers like Maria Helena Pinto, Manuela Soueiro, Edna Jaime and HoraceMacuacua, this scope performs his second expo doing a duet with the photographer Mauro Vombe.

Since 2004 a member of Amocine - Mozambican Association of Filmmakers, which develops the seventh art direction and scriptwriting.
Since 2008 the foundation works with the Netherlands where it is Oneminute facilitator workshops giving one-minute films thenew generation of artists.
In 2010 is invited to the Festival in Cineport Cataguazes - Brazil, to direct a documentary, The Backyard expected, the film took the award for best direction, best producer and best documentary film festival.
In 2010 at the invitation of the film writes Nweti lobolo in Mozambique, a short drama, directed by Michael Mathison, the movie that had its participation in the last festival in BurkinaFaso took the award for best social message.
In its work Josine invokes the social experiences of different societies.
In October 2011 he did a photography tour from Amsterdam, Koln, Da Haus and Munchem with a Mozambican photography Ismael Miquidade and a germany photography Jam Stamberg. Currently Emídio Josine studied film in the Rietveld Academie, works and lives in Amsterdam.
